The Swedish-Cypriot Association in Stockholm

The Swedish-Cypriot Association in Stockholm was founded in 1974 and is the only Cypriot association in Sweden. It is a non-profitable association and independent in party-political and religious issues.

The association includes both Swedes and Cypriots and its prime purpose is to provide a meeting-point and forum for persons who either have a personal connection to or a strong interest for the island of Cyprus.

The goals of the Swedish-Cypriot Association are:

• To work towards integration and understanding between Cypriots and Swedes;
   
• To promote understanding and respect between Cypriots;
   
• To enhance the knowledge with regards to social, political and cultural affairs in Cyprus, Sweden and the European Union amongst its members.
   
• To achieve these goals the Swedish-Cypriot Association organizes seminars and cultural arrangements. The association also organizes newsletters relating to Cyprus and Cypriot affairs.
